GARRETT PUCKETT, CEO

Garrett Puckett was born in Houston Texas. He spent his early childhood there and the remainder in Charlotte North Carolina. Garrett Puckett graduated in 1999 from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a degree in Business Administration.

Post graduation, Garrett Puckett settled in Austin Texas where he learned the mortgage, investment and real estate business. A natural progression was to obtain his license in real estate, in addition to the Series 7 and 66 investment certifications. Garrett values his experience and learning from Joe Scaparra, a former Air force A 10 Warthog Fighter Pilot and current Financial Advisor

In 2005 he started the Security America brand of financial products, with the inception of Security America Mortgage, Inc. and Security American Realty, Inc. Garrett Puckett is a fifth generation Texan and proud American. Garrett credits his family history of ranching and farming for helping to instill the work ethic and values that run through his veins. This work ethic along with a loyal team enabled Garrett’s small local Texas business to survive the 2^nd worst financial crisis in our history. Garrett Puckett is proud that Security America Mortgage, Inc. was a Fast 100 and Inc. 5000 exclusive member for running a great private company. He credits his maternal and fraternal family who served and are still serving our country with his vision of providing veterans, through his management team and employees, with the most outstanding real estate services they can obtain.

As a proud American, Garrett Puckett cares about the men and women who help keep our great country free. Attending and assisting in Wounded Warrior events and providing help to Veterans through local community events are near and deal to Garrett’s heart. Recently Garrett started a Veteran Kite organization in which Garrett will provide the equipment and training to local South Florida Veterans that have a desire to learn kite boarding. Garrett is a sports enthusiast that loves all sports especially tennis, golf, NFL, NBA, water sports and more.

As much as Garrett loves sports as many do, he also loves working with all good people who care about the country and especially those who have protected it. That’s one reason Garrett Puckett founded the Veterans Credit Repair concept online with and for Veteran Brent Reedle. Brent, Janet and his team have taken the ball and run with it by working hard to help Veterans with credit. Our goal is to help all Veterans understand credit and utilize credit. We start with educating Veterans on their credit and VA loan benefit. We want the men and women who have protected this country to prosper in this country for their sacrifices.

This is why the Not For Profit Veterans Credit Education has been introduced. I’m excited and honored to be a Board Member because I’ll be able to help honorably discharged Veterans who can’t afford a credit report get one along with credit education.

GARRETT’S MILITARY FAMILY TREE…“My maternal grandfather, Charles D. Doriocourt, Sr. served in the US Marine Corp in WWI. He was wounded in action in France and would have received a Purple Heart, but these were not available until later in history. My maternal uncle, Charles D. Doriocourt, Jr. served in the US Army in WWII. He survived the Normandy invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He too was a decorated war hero. Uncle Charles went back to college after the war on the GI bill. Many years later he rejoined army intelligence. My fraternal grandfather, Harlan N. Puckett was a captain in WWII and a paymaster. A cousin, Frankie Puckett, a very interesting lady, served in WWII and was in army intelligence during the war and post war. She met Sir Winston Churchhill while in London. Two cousins served in the marines, and one is serving now as a navy attorney.”
